Jean Carter designed Interiors, Inc. was founded by Jean Carter in 1996.

Eventually, the small company that originated in the loft of Jean's home developed into a much larger firm, staffing a grand design team and operating an extensive by-the-bolt fabric and retail store.

In 2007, Jean decided to return to basics, focusing on her true calling--her passion to design.

Jean Carter Designed Interiors, Inc. relocated to The Litchfield Exchange Executive Offices where Jean and an intimate staff devote their energies towards interior/exterior design as their only business.

Jean's residential projects include a wide range of styles including an Italian castle style home in Charlotte, NC, a Tommy Bahama style in Key West, FL, upscale ocean front homes along the east coast and traditional, transitional, eclectic and contemporary homes and condos in the Carolinas.

Her restaurant designs include an upscale sushi restaurant, a franchised breakfast restaurant, a Manhattan style restaurant and bar and a contemporary Bistro.

Professional office designs include the medical profession, banks, CPA firms, real estate offices and a retail jewelry store.

Investment properties include a $30 million, 140 unit condo project, and a $20 million up-scale housing development in which Jean designed the interior as well as the exterior design.

Jean's expertise allows her to work with residential home owners, investment groups, builders and developers. When asked what Jean enjoys most about her business, she replied, "I love the creative diversity, the excitement, the great client relationships and the uniqueness of each project."
